The Digital Signature addon provides PDF signing capabilities to the Nuxeo Platform following asymmetric cryptography, PKI and the X.509 standards. This addon also enables the generation of user certificates (server-side), which are required for document signing.
|For Nuxeo Platforms||server-9.10, server-9.10-*|
User can generate a password-protected certificate stored server-side and that is used for signing operation. When signing a document, user fills a reason. PDF is signed in the standard way so that it can be verified by Adobe PDF Reader. PDF is also watermarked with the name, date and reason of the consecutive signatures of the PDF. It is possible to configure the layout of this watermarking. Signed pdf by default replaces the previous one that is archived in attachment of the document.
Digital Signature addon requires installation of the corresponding Nuxeo package. Then the root certificate that will be used for generating user certificates should be generated and installed on the server as well as company related information (instead of sample one).
Each user must generate first its certificate in the certificates tab.
